Ingredients:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ¼ tsp salt
- ½ cup milk
- ¼ cup vegetable oil or melted butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 egg
- Optional: ¼ cup chocolate chips, nuts, or dried fruits
Instructions:
- Prepare the Air Fryer:
- Preheat your air fryer to 320°F (160°C). Lightly grease a 6-inch round cake pan or line it with parchment paper.
- Make the Batter:
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix the milk, oil, vanilla extract, and egg. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until combined. Avoid overmixing.
- If desired, fold in chocolate chips, nuts, or dried fruits.
- Fill the Pan:
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan, spreading it evenly.
- Bake in the Air Fryer:
- Place the cake pan in the air fryer basket. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Check halfway through and cover the top with foil if it starts to brown too quickly.
- Cool and Serve:
- Let the cake cool in the pan for 5-10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Frost, glaze, or dust with powdered sugar as desired.
