Air fryer cake


Ingredients:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ cup milk
  • ¼ cup vegetable oil or melted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • Optional: ¼ cup chocolate chips, nuts, or dried fruits

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Air Fryer:
    • Preheat your air fryer to 320°F (160°C). Lightly grease a 6-inch round cake pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. Make the Batter:
    • In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
    • In another bowl, mix the milk, oil, vanilla extract, and egg. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until combined. Avoid overmixing.
    • If desired, fold in chocolate chips, nuts, or dried fruits.
  3. Fill the Pan:
    • Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan, spreading it evenly.
  4. Bake in the Air Fryer:
    • Place the cake pan in the air fryer basket. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
    • Check halfway through and cover the top with foil if it starts to brown too quickly.
  5. Cool and Serve:
    • Let the cake cool in the pan for 5-10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
    • Frost, glaze, or dust with powdered sugar as desired.
