- 1 cup chopped nuts (optional, such as walnuts or pecans)
Instructions
- Prepare Your Pan:
- Line an 8-inch square baking dish with foil, allowing the edges to overhang for easy removal later. Grease the foil lightly with butter or non-stick spray.
- Heat the Mixture:
- In a heavy saucepan, combine sugar, butter, and evaporated milk. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture comes to a full rolling boil. Continue boiling for 4-5 minutes, stirring constantly to prevent scorching.
- Melt Chocolate & Marshmallow:
- Remove the saucepan from heat. Immediately stir in the chocolate chips, marshmallow creme, and vanilla extract. Mix vigorously until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth.
- Add Nuts (Optional):
